The new studio is built into a big cabin in the Los Padres National Forest just north of Los Angeles. Although we are technically a few miles north of the LA border, we are about an hour north of “The Valley” and about 90 minutes north of LAX airport in good traffic. We are also one hour south of Bakersfield.
This beautiful mountain town, Pine Mountain Club, has some bars, restaurants, a swimming pool and golf (all of which are walkable from the studio, the village and some of the rental cabins).
There is an inn and a B&B in the area:

You can also try Craigslist for rentals, as well as through many of the local Pine Mountain Club realtors.
We’ve also found good values through Airbnb and VRBO.
