The Mountain Recording Retreat
May 15-20, 2016, less than two hours east of Washington DC, in the mountains of West Virginia we are hosting the first annual Mountain Recording Retreat. This is an all inclusive event that includes Recording Workshops, mentoring, DIY electronics classes, 3 all you can eat meals a day, accommodations in a private room and even free golf on the resort’s par 3 course. Your registration fee also includes all taxes and gratuities.
The Mountain Recording Retreat is unlike anything else; a place to learn more about recording from mentors and fellow recording enthusiasts, but just as import is the chance to spend real quality time with a group of people that love music recording as much as you do. All meals are family style with all the attendees and mentors eating together. The details are still evolving, but so far the confirmed mentors include myself, Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Terry Bozzio, Ulver, Nels Cline..), DIY electronics guru Peterson Goodwyn (owner of DIY Electronics), and film, TV and video game music mixer John Rodd (Elysium, Breaking Bad, Call of Duty, Star Wars Kinect, World of Warcraft..)
